  • BK131LPB is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way, way too low in volume. Useless. I just bought a new home and this doorbell came with the home. It is horrible. It is so soft, if there is anything running at all (washer, dishwasher, etc) you absolutely cannot hear it; there are no other options for chimes.

  • Can I replace the chime?

Great service for 6 years. Then the doorbell button got stuck and as a result I think one plunger's plastic part melt. Should I attempt to repair or just replace the unit?
    Asked by: SocalGuy
Thank you for your question on the model BK131LPB wired door chime. There are no repair parts available for the BK131LPB door chime. You will need to replace the chime. You can replace it with any of our two note chimes, but you should replace the push button first. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

And i found only difference according to ur site is that "Order as standard pack of 24 to assist with your planning and still retain that economical edge" on Bk131LPB is 24 and BK131LSN is 6. Can you guys explain
    Asked by: Goyat11
Thank you for your question on the model BK131LPB and BK131LSN door chime kits. The only difference between the BK131LPB and the BK131LSN is the finish of the stucco push button included with the chime. The LPB comes with a polished brass push button and the LSN comes with the satin nickel push button.

How do I make my bk131lpb louder the doorbell is not loud

    Asked by: Sepulveda02
Thank you for your question on the model BK131LPB door chime. The BK131LPB does not have a volume control, so there is no way to make it louder. You would either need to wire another chime to the BK131 and install it in another location, or you would need to go to a different model chime. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

I'm trying to install a skybell video doorbell, but it doesn't seem to stay energized

Hi. I have a Nutone model 131 SWH doorbell (that is what is says on the inside cover of the chime unit). I have installed a Skybell video doorbell, but it doesn't seem to stay energized. According to the SkyBell page, the bell is designed to work with mechanical doorbells and secondary power from 10-36 VAC 10. Is this consistent with your specs?
    Asked by: MW
Thank you for your question. All of our chimes require a minimum of 16 Volts 10VAC. You will need to determine the output voltage of your transformer and then check with Skybell on their specifications.
