Rated 5 out of 5 by from super quiet I love them. So quiet and moves lots of air. Good thing they're semi automatic because sometime I forget to turn them off they are so quiet. I wish the the one with a heater was just as quiet and moved the same amount of air. My mom is cold all the time and have been looking for a model that is similar with a heater. But the heater models are all the older versions and louder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely quiet and vents well I have 2 of these in my own home for the past 8 years with no problems. The newer ones are even more quiet, which is hard to believe. I install timers on them because people leave them on and cannot hear them running. This is the ONLY fan I install in all my customers' bathrooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and quiet bath exhaust fan I installed 2 of the model QTXEN110, 110 CFM Ventilation Fans. One fan was a replacement in a 100 sq ft bathroom and the QTXEN110 is much quieter than its predecessor. The other was a new installation in a 50 sq ft bathroom. The fans were easy to install, but I had access above from the attic for both installations. The 6" duct helps keep this fan quieter than models using a 4" duct. The main features are simply the fan exchanges the air and clears the moisture, and it is quiet. I highly recommend Nutone fans, and for the size and features I need, this fan is excellent..

  • Can I keep a 4" duct with the QTXEN150

The QTRN110F-C is great but doesn't move enough air in our large bathroom (we're most concerned about moisture). The QTRN110 unit has a 4" duct, while the QTXEN uses a 6". The question of the day: can I install the QTXEN and use a 6x4 adapter/reducer to get the air to the existing exhaust vent? I don't want to pull the old one from the roof unless absolutely necessary... ? Thanks
    Asked by: Stamp
Thank you for your question on the model QTXEN150 exhaust fan. The QTXEN150 must be installed with six inch duct work. It cannot be installed with four inch.

    How to clean

Our fan looks very dusty. How and when are you supposed to clean it?
    Asked by: Julie
Thank you for your question on the model QTXEN150 exhaust fan. It is a good idea to clean the fan once a year. To properly clean an exhaust fan, you should remove the grille and fan assembly from the unit housing. The blower wheel can be cleaned using a small brush (something like an old toothbrush) and the unit housing can be vacuumed or wiped out. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

What should be the estimated speed of a QTXEN110

Nutone mentioned in Pete's question "if the fan is up to RPM". I was wondering what the RPM should be? Also what fractional HP is the motor? Sean
