Nutone Scovill CV400 stays on
Hello I have a older Red CV400 and the low voltage wires are hooked up, but the only way to turn the unit on or off is by using the on/off toggle switch on the unit. Whether I disconnect, switch the low voltage wires or leave them connected, the unit stays on until i turn the on off switch to off. I have checked all the wiring and all seems ok, i did notice that some of the wall outlets leak slightly (maybe not sealing properly)
Thank you for your question on the model CV400 central cleaning system. When the on/off switch is turned on, the unit will stay on until you turn it off. The unit should stay in the off mode unless you are using an inlet close to the tank that would not have a low voltage wire connected to it. With the switch in the off position, you should be able to turn the tank on by placing the hose in an inlet or using the switch on the handle of the hose.
