Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performance good but attachments could be better. I am satisfied with the performance/cleaning ability of the unit. I like that you have the option to go bagless even though I decided to use bags. Much easier to just replace bags than empty and clean the container. My chief criticism is that the small brush attachment has bristles that are too short and hard. Cleaning ability is much improved with longer soft bristles. I also have an Electrolux and much prefer their attachments. Also the crevice tool needs to be longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet We recently upgraded from our 16 year old Nutone vacuum system to the PP600. This unit provides more suction and is so quite, we hardly know it is on. The old unit was so noisy, I would jump out of my shoes every time my wife turned on the unit if I was in the garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgraded unit We upgraded our central vac to the PP600 due to the fact that our original unit stopped working because of "unknown" issues (no one could figure out what was going on). The customer service folks at Nutone were very helpful (and apologetic) and replaced the non-working vac with little fanfare. The installation was a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine Central Vac Unit! This unit replaced our original, failing central vac unit. It is working beautifully and is definitely more powerful and quieter than our original unit. It is more than sufficient for our 3,500+ ft. three level home. Would buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from quiet installation guide very poor , three models in one set of instructions you have to skip some instructions that only apply to one of the models not all.

2" PVC tubing. I used the PVC tubing designed for Central Vac Systems available from Home Depot. Check first - NOT AVAILABLE AT ALL HOME DEPOT LOCATIONS!

As a follow-up to the zx6000 replacement question, can you say why the pp650 is the preferred replacement? My home is only 3500 sq ft.

This model (pp600) says it handles up to 7000 sq ft, so can you explain why you recommend the pp650?
    Asked by: Anonymous
The ZX6000 by AirVac is rated for homes up to 7,500 sq ft. The PP650 is the only model to meet this square footage. If your home is 3,500 sq ft, you either the PP500 or PP600, however, you may notice a difference in suction compared to your ZX6000. does this unit come with any necessary inlets and elbows needed to install the system

if not can I just use regular pvc fitings, I do not have a nutone distributor close by.thanks.
    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the model PP600 central cleaning system main canister. The tubing, elbows, inlets and accessories would all be purchased separately. The tubing is two inch outside diameter and standard PVC tubing is two inch inside diameter, so they are not compatible with each other. You would need to purchase the components through a NuTone distributor either locally or on line. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

Would the PP600 b a good replacement for my Nutone Model #CV-750? Would there be any restrictions or modifications to the installation?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the model PP600 central vacuum system. The PP600 would be a good replacement for the CV750. The intake and exhaust are not located exactly in the same places as the CV750. If you do not have this exhausted to the outside, you should have no problem with the change out. If you do have this exhausted to the outside, you may need to modify the intake tubing a little. We have a short piece of flexible tubing (model CF367) that can be used for this. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

does the piping lign up with my old CV353? or do I need an adaptor kit

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the model PP600 central vacuum system. The intake and exhaust openings in the PP600 do not match up exactly to the ones on the CV353. We have a model CF367, which is a two foot piece of flexible tubing that can be used to connect the piping that does not line up completely. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.
