  • This patent-pending series marks a revolution of our mid-range ventilation fans. It gives professionals the flexibility to handle new construction or room-side retrofit installations from one hard-working product line with a full range of operating points. Innovations include foldable mounting ears and new damper and housing technology that improve building airtightness like never before. And all with new grille designs that are at home in any decor.

    • 80 CFM reduces humidity to quickly eliminate fogged mirrors and manage moisture in bathrooms up to 75 square feet, so your vision will always be clear and your surroundings will always be comfortable
    • Retrofit installations can be done entirely from the room-side – no attic access required. This means a faster, easier installation, so you can move on to something else
    • With our TrueSeal™ Damper Technology, InVent fans reduce air leakage by up to Fifty Percent* compared to competitive models, resulting in better home performance via blower door tests and reducing cold and warm air backdrafts
    • EzDuct™ Connector can be installed room-side with no attic access required, fan housing connection have never been easier
    • UL Listed for use over tubs and showers with a GFCI circuit; so you can capture the steam before it spreads throughout the room by locating your fan exactly where you need it the most
    • 100W max. incandescent A19 type bulb or energy efficient equivalent bulb with Maximum Overall Length (M.O.L.) of 4.4" or less (bulb not included)
    • With our TrueSeal™ Damper Technology, InVent fans reduce air leakage by up to 50% compared to competitive models, resulting in better home performance via blower door tests.*

*Testing reflects total fan housing airtightness. See nutone.com/invent for more details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm impressed!!! Today, I installed this fan in a bathroom that had none. It replaced an existing light. It took me under 3 hours and that included cutting a 4" hole thru 1 1/2" of stucco. The fan went together so easily, after putting the box in the ceiling, the fan part snapped in and held itself so I could put the screws in without having to hold it in place with my hand. The engineering in this unit was impressive. I would highly recommend this fan and will use it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from include instructions for changing the bulb with the product I looked everywhere for instructions on how to replace the bulb and found them in one of NuTone's reply's to a previous review. If you had the fan installed by an electrician as we did, the only thing in the instructions that is important is how to replace the bulb. If you hold the side of the grill and gently push the opposite side of the light lens towards this side, the light lens is very easy to remove. The clips are not strong enough to keep the grill from moving when you push on the light lens to remove it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, efficient exhaust fan. I am very pleased with this purchase. Previously, my bathroom had no exhaust fan, which resulted in excessive moisture on the walls. I chose this fan based on research I did on the InVent series fans from Broan. I liked the fact that it has a damper, which closes after use, so as to not allow interior heat to escape. I also chose this model for its light. I used a LED, which lights up the entire bathroom. Its rating of 0.8 Sones makes it quiet. I coupled the install with a humidity sensor next to my switch for the bathroom light. Even manually turning it on, it shuts itself off after bathing, which is nice.

  • how in the world do you remove light cover to change bulb??

    Asked by: kayrv
The light cover squeezes in on two sides to disengage from the housing so it can be removed to replace the light bulb

Is the light and fan capable of being on separate switches?

    Asked by: John
Yes. There is wiring within the housing for both (separate). With that said, you do need the wiring within the wall for both switches as well. Note: The product includes a wiring diagram.

    Wiring question

I am performing a retrofit and there is only 2 wires coming through, one gray and one orange with black stripe. The wires on the arn80l model are 2 sets of green white and black. Can i wire the fan and light to turn on from one switch and if so which wires go together?
    Asked by: Bullsfan7
Sounds like you have no ground wire so you wouldn't hook the green wire to anything. Not sure how they ran your wiring, those are not the typical colors for wiring. If you are comfortable working with electricity, you can find out which is the load and which is neutral with a tester. Hook the black wires to your load and the neutral to the white wires. If you aren't comfortable, please call an electrician.

Light and fan controlled by single switch

Am I able to wire this fan so the fan and light are controlled by a single switch? I don't really have the space to install 2 switchs in the bathroom and I am fine with both features coming on every time I use it. I also don't have the existing wiring in place for 2 switches as well.
    Asked by: Mel
Yes, inside the electrical connection in the box, you can connect the fan and light together and operate off one switch. I put mine on a timer.
