Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking product; belnds well with many styles and finishes This is a wonderful product; not too big nor too small. Multi-chime tone is delightful; the single chime tone (for the second door) is not as pleasing, non issue for us as the single chime is on the secondary man door that is rarely used. We have many Broan products in our home and we are pleased with all of them.

  • Why does my LA311WL not chime?

My electrician recently installed the LA311WL in our newly constructed house. I was expecting a lovely chime, instead all we get are low thudding sounds. Can you tell me what is wrong. Thank you
    Asked by: Burgsi
Thank you for your question on the model LA311WL door chime. The tone bars inside the LA311WL need to be hanging loosely on their posts. It sounds like they are bound up for some reason. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

Can a two units be connected at different locations, using the same pushbuttons?

    Asked by: Gary
Thank you for your question on the model LA311WL door chime. You can wire two of the LA311WL chimes together using the same push buttons, but there is a specific way of wiring them. You would also need to use a different transformer. Please contact our Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

Can I change the tone on the LA311WL?

The sound is a muffled plunking sound instead of a rich chime. Is there something muffling the sound that I can fix?
    Asked by: Don
Thank you for your question on the model LA311WL wired door chime. The tone bars must sit in a position where they are very loose so they can vibrate. It sounds like the tone bars in your unit are somehow bound up. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

How due you increase the sound?

The sound is not loud enough to hear two rooms away. Are there any adjustments that can be made to ncrease the sound?

I am searching for a wired doorbell, which will accomodate three doors. I also need one that has a loud tone, which can be easily heard. Suggestions?

    Asked by: Chowdah
Thank you for the question on the model LA311WL door chime. The LA311WL will accommodate three door bell push buttons, but it is not an exceptionally loud chime. The loudest chime that we would have, that would take three door bell push buttons, would be the LA174WH.
