  • QTXN110HFLT is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short Life Span I like the fan and heater but it seems they have a very short life. I installed the first one in March and it lasted 3 months and then quit working altogether. The replacement also lasted 3 months. The third unit (2nd replacement) was installed last week and I hope it lasts a long time. The unit was still under warranty so the replacements were without cost but it would be nice not to have to replace them every 3 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Features - Heater Life is Pain Point I put this unit in when we remodeled our master bath 4 years ago. The first heat element lasted 2 years, and now the 2nd on has lasted 2 years. It's relatively inexpensive and easy enough to replace, but would like it to last longer. Other than that, the hi-low night light, fan, and heat are great features that make this unit a very good one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the price I purchased this a unit a little over a year ago thinking it was top of the line-had a licensed electrician install it when my master bath was being remodeled just to have the fan stop working approx 2 months ago-we are listing our house soon and this is another expense We will incur to get it "show ready" - EXTREMELY disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simply the best bathroom fan around I owned a different Nutone fan that had the same combination of fan/heater/lights and the fan was LOUD. We bought this one to replace it and the fan is so quiet that you can barely hear it. Any heater you get will be as loud as a hair blower which is ok since we only use it long enough to take the chill out of the air. This is a great bathroom fan. Yes, you need a 20 amp power line which we already had installed. I am buying a second unit to replace the fan that is dying in our other bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great product with great features Great product for the money. This unit replaced a tired Nutone light/fan combo that was 25 years old and what a difference it made. This is so much quieter, efficient, and also has the heater that the wife loves. The 6 " fan really removes the steam and moisture and the nightlight is a nice feature to have in the middle of the night! I highly recommend this unit for a new construction or a remodel job as it is not to much bigger that most do the older style fan/light combo units.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a reliable product! Does not last very long. We bought from you 11 months ago and already it has stopped heating. Terrible unit!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and people My NuTone was a replacement for an older one I had. I wanted a quieter version but one with the same features of both vent and heat. I was able to use the four way switch already in place. I inquired about this before installing and received a prompt response. You do need to have access to the joists above the ceiling material to install this Nutone. You cannot install it from below unless you are willing to perform major surgery on your bathroom ceiling. It perfectly covered the existing cut out in the ceiling. It works as advertised - quiet and smooth. Delivery was quick. I would recommend this unit to the experienced do it yourselfer. I would definitely purchase a Nutone product again!

Where can I find detailed instructions for replacing the heater element in this unit?

    Asked by: AP
Take the cover off and look for the blower motor. Remove it and drop it down. The heater element screws in with 2 screws. Very easy to replace.

    maintenance

How to remove grill for cleaning purposes.
    Asked by: corinne cox
Thank you for your question on the model QTXN110HFLT exhaust fan/heater/light/night light. To remove the grille for cleaning you first insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the slot at one end of the light lens and carefully pry the lens out of the grille. Next you remove the (2) grille mounting screws from the ends of the housing. The grille will come down from the ceiling and you will need to unplug the cable from the grille assembly to the receptacle inside of housing. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

Any suggestions on installing in a suspeneded ceiling?

Have you any suggestions about installing a Nutone Premier QTXN110HFLT Ultra Silent Ventilation Fan with Flourescent Light, Night Light and Heater in a bathroom with a SUSPENDED CEILING? If it were not for the heater I would consider leaving a gap between the grill and the unit itself; the majority of the exhausted air would come through the vent in any case. However the heater must be channeled through the specific section of the grill, not into the empty space above the suspended ceiling. Mounting it through a 2'x2' ceiling tile while also getting the ceiling tile installed in the suspended ceiling... looks to be quite a job. Is there a proper way to extend the heat duct by just a couple of inches? Thank you for your help.

Need wall control with timer for heater on QTXN110HFLT

We are installing QTXN110HFLT in an interior bathroom without windows. We need a wall control in Ivory that has a timer for the heater but also has two switches. One switch is for the light and fan combined (as required in CA for an interior bathroom) and one for the nightlight. I saw a wall control on the Home Depot website model #62V, Internet #204787395. Will this work for my application?

Thank you for your question on the model QTXN110HFLT exhaust fan/heater/light/night light. The model 62V or 62W, 60 minute timer and dual switches are compatible with this unit.
