Rated 3 out of 5 by from overheats then malfunctions I updated an older Nutone with cassette, to the nm200wh. Had to replace all the remote stations, all 7 of then with retrofit. Alternative was to cover all the holes and repaint the rooms. big job. Two years later it works intermittently. I think it is overheating as it sits in a box with no ventilation. After I unplug, let it cool down it starts working again. Put back in the box and soon screen is flickering and working poorly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only viable repacement I was thrilled this unit was available for replacing my Fasco 4 wire unit. Even the bezels for the room stations covered the old cut out holes in the wall. Works great. Had to change the master configuration to a 3 wire, though, which wasn't apparent in the install instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product works well; good sound. We upgraded from the old cassette tape model to the CD deck. It is great. However, the directions on operation were very limited at best. It took quite a while to figure out how to load the deck and operate the remote speakers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a good looking unit, the radio plays well and I was able to install it. This product was pruchased to replace an old non-working unit installed by a previous owner in the early seventies. It chose it due to compatibility with the speaker wiring of the old unit. The installation went fairly well and your help desk was usefull in completing the project. The AM/FM radio works very well and comes thru loud and clear thru all of the speakers in the house. My wife uses it every morning to hear the news. I have not, however, been able to get the intercom to work ... don't know what I'm doing wrong! Is it the old wiring, incorrect settings, not holding my mouth right when I press the buttons! Oh well, it's a good looking unit, the radio plays well and I was able to install it myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product WE had the older system installed when we built the house, so after 16 years we wanted to upgrade and this was the best choice we had, for size and wiring that was originally installed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Features, Easy to Use, Clock keeps poor time Overall happy with the unit, radio and speaker system works well. My only complaint is that the unit keeps time poorly, the clock is always fast and if you dont reset it periodically it will get worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Nutone NM100 is a high quality intercom system with lots of features. I purchased the NM100 intercom retrofit system to replace my still operating 1990 Nutone unit. The installation was easy and I was impressed with the detail of the instructions. I also installed the optional CD changer for a more complete audio system. I like the numerous features of the NM100. Being able to remotely turn the master unit on from any speaker location is nice. The sound quality throughout my home is bold and sharp. This is a powerful performer. I run a 10 speaker system plus two doorbells with volume and power to spare.

  • Does the MN200 have internet capability?

Is the product capable of reaching and utilizing on line radio services and receiving music through internet websites? Joe
    Asked by: Joe
There is an external jack available that allows input from other devices. My daughter jacks into the system from her iphone. I purchased a Y adaptor that combines left and right channels to go from the iphone to the unit's external jack.

    CAT 5 Connector

Where can I get more of the CAT 5 connectors? Or is their a part number where I can order them online? They came in the boxes with the Remote Stations but not in the Volume Control Boxes (which control the speakers on the ceiling).
    Asked by: Tracy
Thank you for your question on the NM200WH radio intercom system. You can get the CAT 5 connectors through a Nutone Distributor. Please see the dealer "search" on our website, for Distributors in your area. The model number for a set of 5 connectors is NA200QC.

    6 wire installation instructions

Other than the outdoor remote station showing 2 of the 8 wires spliced, I do not see in the installation instructions how the older style 6 wires get connected to the master station. Do 2 of the terminals get jumpered and if so, which 2?

    Ugrading my Nutone intecom systerm

I have an older Nutone Model IMA-303 (25 years). I want to upgrade to the NM100WH. Do I have to change the room speakers as well? I think my system is a 3 wire system.
    Asked by: Jalan
Yes, you should change the wall speakers since the NM100 is a more powerful system and the old speakers are not rated high enough for the ohm output to the newer system. The old speakers may work but might sound distorted or blow out due to the higher output of the NM100.
