Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice looking, effective range hood. This unit is stylish and operates well. It is much quiter than the unit we replaced. The lights are bright. The features to adjust the lights and the fan are very useful. The installation was fairly simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has easy to use features. This range hood was easy to install and all features are very easy to use.. The variable speed fan is quiet and the double lights with double brightness is a great feature and the stainless steel finish is easy to clean and take care of. The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that the filters were not included with the range hood, especially at the price I paid even though it was reduced and being discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant product. Surpassed my expectations. This under cabinet hood was a replacement for one already here. It performs a lot better than the old one. We have had no problems with it and I would recommend it to anyone. In fact my daughter and son-in-law bought the very same one and are also well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like its looks, and ease of operation It looks like it was meant to be installed over our range as if it was originally installed with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has withstood the test of time A review written two months, six months or a year after purchasing and installing a product is great, but we had this hood installed when we remodeled our kitchen in 2001! It is now 2017 and we are remodeling again and plan to reinstall the hood with our new cabinets. It is quiet, ventilates perfectly and provides great lighting. I love this hood, it is an exceptional value with a timeless design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very efficient product. An attractive addition to our kitchen. We replaced an old Broad-Nutone under cabinet hood that had served us well for many years. This lovely stainless steel appliance blends in beautifully with our other new stainless steel appliances that we recently purchased. Very easy to clean. We are very pleased with this product.

  • Light went out, cannot remove it.

I am having extreme difficulty removing the bulb from the socket. I even tried to remove the filter and access the bulb this way, but nothing is working. I can't replace the bulb now. Why is it not coming out easily? It will twist to the left and to the right, but both directions seem to tighten it.

I have the same problem but here is how I fix it: (** first find a way to unplug the power for the unit just to be on the safe side **) 1. Unscrew the 5 screws at the front, then you should be able to take the front (light) panel off. 2. Disconnect the electric cable plug (pretty easy to unplug, just need to use a bit more force) 3. Put in some WD-40 right at the gap between the bulb and the socket , so it will lubricate the screwing area (it's because the oil grease made it stuck) 4. Unscrew it by turning it counter-clockwise. Now you are should be good! I will also unscrew the other bulb, put it in the socket you're replacing (and it should light up) so to make sure the socket is indeed working.

Why does only one side of the light panel now work?

Changed out the light bulbs for a cooler version and now only one side of the light panel now work? We have changed the bulbs several times and removed the light panel to make sure that all of the wiring was still in tact and still connected.

Thank you for your question on the WS130BC. It is possible that one of the light sockets is defective, but please check one thing first. Some of the light bulb manufacturers are shortening the necks of their light bulbs and when they are placed in certain fixtures, the neck isn’t long enough to get to the bottom of the socket. If this is not happening with yours, please contact our Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151

how can i remove the fan for better cleaning?

    Asked by: frank
Thank you for your question on the model WS130WW range hood. We do not recommend removing the fan blade for cleaning. The fan blade is friction fit onto the motor shaft and also has a hairpin clip holding it in place. It is possible to remove the hairpin clip and pull the fan blade off of the motor, but every time it is removed and reinstalled it fits a little less tight on the motor shaft. This can eventually cause problems. It is better to clean it the best you can while it is in place.

Why do new halogen bulbs not work in the hood but do work in a lamp?

Two new halogen bulbs do not work in the hood but work in a table lamp. Two regular bulbs work in the hood.
    Asked by: Covan
Thank you for your question on the model WS130WW range hood. We have found that some manufacturers of these bulbs are making them with short necks. You may want to try finding these bulbs with longer necks. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

Can it be adapted to plug into a wall outlet? How?

I am replacing a hood that plugged into an existing wall outlet. I do not want to mess with the house wiring. Is there a 'plug kit' for this new hood, that would allow me to plug it into the existing wall outlet? If not, is there some sort of generic adapter that would work?
    Asked by: MoRob
Thank you for your question on the model WS130WW range hood. We do have a kit, model number HCK44, which will allow you to plug the range hood into an electrical outlet instead of hard wiring it to the house wiring.
