  • ACS30BL is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap but effective I was just looking for the cheapest vent I could find and this was the best one I could find. It does the trick and is more than enough for my needs. I moved all my heavy cooking to an outside kitchen so this is mostly for light work. The vent is a bit loud but not annoying. Its not powerful as the previous one I had so but for the price it did what I needed. Quality of the product is great and installation was pretty easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Range Hood came with wrong Model installation instructions. I purchased a Model# ACS30SS Range Hood from Home Depot, however the Install Instruction Manual that came with the unit was for the Model 6200 & 6300 units. Consequently, I had a few extra parts that I didn't know what to do with. I went ahead and installed the Hood anyway (with a vented duct), however when I turned-on the fan it was blowing air out of the front vent, back into the room. I then decided to go to your website to see if I could identify the problem and found that there is a Louvre Cover that needs to be installed into the front vent. Unfortunately, I then had to uninstall the hood to get the louvre cover installed. I like the Range Hood, however packing the wrong Instruction Manual with a product is a real FACTORY ISSUE and you should address it with your factory!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from duct distance from rear wall I am replacing a 30 yr old NUTONE hood and find a major inconvenience, the new hood has the exhaust duct 1/4 of an inch further from the rear wall than the old one. What factors would cause you to change that dimension? For my instillation it is a serious change Bill

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice adjustable features I really like being able to adjust the fan speed and light. These features were not available on the 22 year old model this one replaced. Very easy to install and overall very satisfactory appliance. Does what it is supposed to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the dial to adjust speed of fan. Coming from a previous Nutone with a dial for speed as compared to a toggle (high/low) switch this feature was important to me. My luck there were no installation instructions in the box. I called Nutone, they apologized and immediately emailed them to me. It was up and running in no time. I'm a single 60 yr old and found this to be a fairly simple task. Very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product This model is very efficient. It does the job of removing any odors very effectively. It is quiet. The two speeds on the fan is a plus. The light is bright. We had this product installed by an electrician since we wanted it to be wired in. He had no trouble whatsoever. We did not have it vented to the outside but I do not feel you have to with this unit. This is an excellent product.

    Fan is really loud

I just bought and installed this range hood. The fan is super loud and vibrates. Is this just a poor quality, cheap fan, or did I get a defective unit?
    Asked by: Lou
My new unit is a bit loud but I expect it from this fan.

Need wiring diagram and perhaps a new fan motor.

There is no power to the fan switch but there is power to the lights. Husband is trying to chase down problem with no info on how the range hood is wired.
    Asked by: zookeeper54
The wiring is very simple. Be sure to connect black wire to black and white wire to white. Be sure to connect the green ground wire to the unit and the bare copper wire or green color ground wire from your 120v house wiring. good luck !

Fan keeps spinning in OFF position

I wired the range hood fan properly, yet when you turn the fan off, it keeps spinning. My old range hood never did that. Why is this happening?
    Asked by: DK
If you wired the house power black wire to the black on the fan and the light and all the white wires connected to house white wire the only way that the fan keeps running after you shut the variable switch off all the way until you hear the click .....You could have a defective variable switch....
