  • QT9093WH is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a good multi-functional product This unit was purchased as a replacement of the same model that we had used for many years. I chose to replace the old unit after the heater stopped working, and wanted the same model because of all the features it contained. The fan is a little noisier than I would have preferred, but the heater works well which is a plus in cold New England winters. I was able to replace the inner workings from below without having to remove the entire unit from the attic. I would not hesitate to recommend this good looking unit to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heating element doesn't last long In our experience, the heating element doesn't last long and the exhaust fan cage comes loose and rattles. I bought it because of features, especially the heat, and because it fit nicely in the space created for the bathroom's original exhaust fan and light. As long as the unit works, it is an enjoyable product. After the first round of troubles over a period of 2-3 years, I had an electrician repair it twice. The heat lasted about one week each time. Now I'm getting ready to buy another exact unit, again because of features and because I want it to cover the good-sized round hole in the ceiling. Maybe I'll get lucky this time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QT9093WH This is the second product I ordered. The first one lasted 12 years. We like it because it has a powerful motor, nightlite, and heater. It takes a 100 watt bulb. We use an LED 100 watt equivalent which brightens the bathroom more than sufficient.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from same fan--replaced twice--Got noisy, stopped running features on fan are great, problem is it does not last long. Think the motor just gave out, got noisy then stopped. would rather just replace motor, but very expensive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from heater issues I have repaired three of these units due to problems with the heater. Nutone is now using zipties to hold the heating element wires in place but the problem is the wires are now to tied far to close to the element and after a short while the insulation on the wiring is burning off thus shorting out the heater fan motor. I had three units comeback to my store with this issue so now before selling a new unit I cut the zipties off the element and have not had one come back with heater issues since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has great features Brings convenient, comforting warmth to the bathroom with the high-output heater. The nightlight function is very convenient. And mainly provides supplemental heat and does not take place of home's main heat source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are you watching TV in the bathroom? I just brought another qt9093 after 15 years of great service from my old Qt9093 fan. When I read the reviews, I wondered what these people complaining about the noise are doing in their bathrooms. It is a tad loud but I'm not watching TV or listing to the radio in the bathroom. Even then, the noise would be a minor distraction for the few minutes in the bathroom. I even like it a little loud. It reminds me that its on and when you have kids that forget to turn the fan off. its a plus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vent fan is very noisy Vent fan rattles and is very noisy. We do not let it run as long as it should because of the noise.

Can the fan and heater be on at the same time?

Can the heater and exhaust fan be ON at the same time? If not,how should the unit be used? Do you have the heater on when using the shower and then when the shower has stopped you turn off the heater and turn on the exhaust fan? Or do you have the exhaust fan on when using the shower and then when the shower has stopped you turn off the fan and turn on the heater?
    Asked by: Martymeyers
Use the heater to warm the room, shut it off and then turn on the exhaust fan. The warm water from the shower will keep the room warm. Be sure to let the exhaust fan run long enough to get the humidity out of the room.

Is the QT9093WH unit a straightforward replacement for an older Nutone assembly Model No. QT-9093?

My older unit just died (probably motor), so I want to replace with a unit whose fit, form and function are the same as the old unit (QT-9093), without having to do any additional construction work or wiring in my bathroom ceiling.
    Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question on the model QT9093WH exhaust fan/heater/light/night light. The present QT9093 would be a direct replacement for the older QT9093.
