open the box and wrap some tape around the tone-bar where the plunger strikes it. Layer the tape or choose a thicker tape ( duct tape vs. masking tape) till it as soft as you want it to be. Harris L

    Can the LA100WH be painted?

    Asked by: homeowner
Thank you for your question on the model LA100WH wired door chime. There should be no problem painting the cover of the LA100WH as long as the cover is primed properly. We would recommend taking the cover to a larger paint store to get their recommendation for the primer and paint.

Can this product be setup so that one buzzer will ring two chimes?

I need to have one buzzer button ring two chimes.
    Asked by: Marie
Thank you for your question on the model LA100WH wired door chime. There is no problem ringing two of these chimes with a single push button. We would recommend powering these chimes with a single transformer that is rated at 16 volts AC and at least 30 voltamps (watts). Wire the first chime to the installation instructions and just parallel the second chime to the first one. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

Can this chime be used with a 24-volt transformer?

    I see that it takes a 16-volt transformer, but I have a 24-volt - will it work?
    Asked by: DarnellDubs
Thank you for your question. The LA100WH uses a 16V 10VA transformer. Using a higher voltage transformer than what is recommended will damage he chime. You should not use a 24V transformer with your LA100WH.
