  • CFO52WB is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wet Location Fan Very happy with the fans. The finish is beautiful and the weatherizing to install in a wet location looks well done. I installed two fans and both of them are perfectly balanced. I am very happy with the purchase.

    Are the motors enclosed?

We intend to use the fans in our horse stalls. The environment will be slightly damp and dusty so it's best to have an enclosed motor.
    Asked by: Janet
Thank you for your question. The CFO52WB is Wet rated for outdoor use. The motor is enclosed and intended for use in damp locations. For further assistance, please contact Nutone Technical Support at 888-336-6151.

    remote

can a remote control unit be added to fan? Which unit would you suggest?
    Asked by: Quickster
Thank you for your question on the model CFO52BQ ceiling fan. The only remote available for this fan is a hard wired wall mounted remote. The model number would be 78 (for fan only) or 79 (for fan and light control).

    Can you attach a 36" and a 12" downrod together to make a 48"?

Can you attach a 12" and a 36" downrod together to make a 48"? Example: Model DR12OBQ and Model DR36OBQ
    Asked by: Ben
Thank you for your question on the model CFO52BQ ceiling fan. You cannot attach two downrods together. You would need to use one or the other. The maximum length of downrod recommended for the CFO52BQ is 36”.

I see it is wet location. can it be installed in an uncovered exposed outdoor location where it will rained on?e

    Asked by: bob
Thank you for your question on the model CFO52WH outdoor series ceiling fan. The CFO52WH is wet rated for outdoor use and should perform as expected even when directly exposed to the elements. The light kits designed for this fan (the model LK50 series) are “Damp Rated” and can only be used when mounted in a damp or dry location (in other words outside but underneath cover).
