  • ILFK2502 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much noisier than expected I have had this setup installed for a several years now. It is very surprisingly noisy. I think the high volume of air coupled with the loud fan unit makes the large racket. If you are going to use this unit, put the fan unit very far away (like 25 feet) and perhaps you'll do better than we did.

  • Can the ILFK2502 be used for a bathroom and a kitchen range exhaust?

    Asked by: Ralph
Thank you for your question on the model ILFK2502 in-line exhaust fan kit. The ILF250 is not designed to be used in cooking areas. It should not be used to vent a kitchen range.

With the ILFK2502 is it required if used for a bathroom to be put on a GFI circut?

    Asked by: Ralph
Thank you for your question on the model ILFK2502 in-line exhaust fan kit. We do recommend that if the unit is installed over a tub or shower that it be placed on a GFCI branch circuit.

Can the ILFK-2502 be used for venting two separate rooms? This would seem to be a matter of switch design/wiring (i.e. a three way switch?).

I have two "small" bathrooms on two levels. The "downstairs" already has a straight duct to the attic. A single remote motor certainly appeals to me. Is it possible 250CFM applied only to one small room at any given time portends other problems? (N.B. 70 CFM more than adequate for either of the rooms separately)
    Asked by: Newton Figures
Yes. The ILF250-2 is usually used in the situation that you describe and wired in a 3-way configuration. Several things which should be considered is that the required duct size is 6” and when either switch is turned on, both rooms will ventilate, even though only one may be is occupied.
