Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bulb does not last forever As a doorbell button, it still works fine after almost four years in service. I recently noticed the button no longer illuminates. I'd gladly pay more for a unit with an LED lamp, which would probably last much longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Material The material was in poor quality that the tidy plastic clips on the back of the button keeping it with the plastic housing broke during installation. Have to glue the parts together now to keep it from falling off. Poor design and quality of the material.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did Not Work Properly Purchased 2 of these and neither worked correctly. The chime would sound continuously. The only way to stop the chime from sounding continuously was to adjust the wiring so the light did not work. The screws are very small and difficult to work with. The assembly comes apart very easily as it is being installed. I also did not like having the Nutone name on the pushbutton.

  • What kind of light is in the PB7LSN? Is it LED or Incandesent?

    Asked by: cj
Unless it has changed since I installed one in 2013, it is incandescent. The bulb burned out in 2017.

Light out, chime does not work

I just installed two of these purchased new. On one, the light does not work, but the chime does. On the other, the light works, but the chime does not. Do I need to reinstall, or are there two separate issues going on? These are replacing wired/surface mount doorbell buttons of the same size.

Does this work with all 18 AWG wired door bells?

Pella installed new door, likewise old button was thrown away, before anyone checked to see if new button would work. It doesn't and they don't want to be bothered by it. I have researched some and see that it possibly needed to have a diod to connect the two screws/wires. I need a door bell. Can you help me?

Thank you for your question on the model PB15LBR door chime push button. This button should work on all door chimes that are powered with a 16 volt transformer. Depending on the model of the door chime itself, you may need a diode across the push button to get it to work properly. A simple check would be to push the button as you normally would and if the tune sequence stops short of play in its entirety, a diode would most likely be required.

Thank you for your question on the model PB7LSN door chime push button. If this push button is connected to a chime that operates with a 16 volt transformer or less, we could only assume the light is burnt out or there is a bad connection inside the push button. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.
