  • NuTone has taken recessed lighting a step further by incorporating light, humidity sensing and powerful, quiet ventilation into one design. Recessed fan/lights offer versatile ventilation solutions for any room in the house, and now feature SensAire® technology to detect a rapid rise in humidity and turn on automatically. These fan/lights also disappear into the ceiling and match perfectly to the trim design used by major recessed lighting manufacturers. You’d never know it’s a fan, and that’s the point.

    • 70 CFM quickly reduces humidity to prevent or eliminate fogged mirrors and manage moisture in bathrooms up to 65 square feet, so your vision will always be clear and your surroundings will always be comfortable
    • Very quiet operation at 1.5 Sones, for an environment that is so peaceful, you’ll always want the fan on
    • Sensaire® Humidity Sensing Technology means no longer needing to remember to turn the fan on when you shower. Unlike other competitive fans and wall controls that wait for a relative humidity set point to be reached, this recessed fan/light reacts to a quick rise in humidity to turn the fan on and clear the mirrors faster
    • White trim designed to work in any décor and with most popular brands of recessed lighting, makes this fan the perfect choice for use in family rooms, utility rooms, kitchens and bathrooms
    • Uses R30-shaped, 2700K, 16W, high efficacy, compact fluorescent lamp with GU24 base (included)
    • ENERGY STAR® certified, giving you the confidence of knowing your fan won’t be noticed on your utility bill
    • Install this unit in a flat ceiling only

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product One question: how do I access the fan for inspection and cleaning? The unit has been operating for 3 years and I am pretty sure the blower wheel is long overdue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I installed these in both my bathrooms above the shower and tub. The fan is so quiet, i can hardly tell it is on. The light is plenty bright as well and lasts forever with a 75 watt PAR 30 L bulb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A recessed light with a hidden fan. Great recessed ceiling light- once installed you'd never know it was a fan also. The fan is moderately quiet. You could easily install a lot of other recessed lighting cans in the bathroom and not be able to pick out which one was the fan. I only wishe the fan was a tad quieter. Good looking. Oh. AND good to know, the special light bulb (compact fluorescent specialty bulb- not your normal screw in) gets brighter the longer it's on. I thought it was the wrong bulb or poor design until I realized 10 minutes later that the bathroom was much brighter, lol.

Do all humidity sensing fans require ducting to outside house ? How about 1st floor applcation on 2 story home ?

    Asked by: Bud
Thank you for your question regarding the 744SFLNT. All exhaust fans, whether humidity sensing or not, need to be ducted outside of the home. This would also apply to a 1st floor application on a 2 story home. If you have any further questions, please contact Technical Support at 1-888-336-6151.

    Cleaning 744SFLNT

How do I inspect and clean the blower wheel? After 3 years of use I suspect it needs some thorough attention. Contractor did not leave me the owners manual (if there was one)
