Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noisy Fan assembly is noisy.Even exchanged assembly at store and still loud. Can't believe it's supposed to be this loud.Expected better. Kind of sounds like a hamster on an exercise wheel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terribly dissapointed I bought two of these at home depot for a retrofit installation. I liked the design and price point. Installation went fine, and was relatively easy. The frustration came after everything was connected. The fan sounds quiet when it is out of the housing, but after installation there is a terrible scratchy, uneven rattly sound that seems to come from the fan motor itself. I have tried to isolate the noise and apply sound proofing to the housing, but it doesn't help. On top of that, the ventilation strength is poor at best. Wouldn't recommend.

  • Bathroom install - how close to the shower can the fan be installed. Will 12" away from the end suffice?

Any reason an LED candelabra bulb can't be used?

There are moisture proof led bulbs for exterior use available. According to your wiring diagram there is no dimmer or other circuitry that might interfere. Why is incandescent specified?
    Asked by: Richie
Thank you for your question. You may use LED candelabra bulbs as long as they are rated for use in an enclosed space. For further assistance you may call Nutone Technical Service at 888-336-6151.

How do I remove the cover to change the light bulb

I tried unscrewing the shade mounting hardware. It took forever to finally start loosening.
    Asked by: joy
Thank you for your question. To remove the shade cover, loosen the “final nut” located at the center of the shade. This will give you access to the (2) 60W max. Candelabra bulbs. For further assistance, contact Nutone Technical Support at 888-336-6151.
