Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quit working after little use We have this unit in our new build. We have been in our new house 3 yrs. We have had very few visitors so our doorbell didn't get much use, but today it has quit working. It makes a very soft sound when pressing the door bell. I took the cover off and appears there is a spring that has come loose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Little to No sound.. Got the BK125LWH that came with our new home. It appears to be a very basic Door Bell and very frustrated with it. Our guest have to spend several minutes at the entrance ringing and ringing and ringing because we cannot hear them. What must I do?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work after 1.5 yrs The door bell stopped working today. Just started humming and won't ring at all. We moved into our newly built house about a year and a half ago and now our doorbell is broke. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from After 15months it doesn't work anymore. After being used in newly built home it only lasted 15months. Opened the top part and the coils to activate the spring are burnt/ snapped. One of the springs at top white pieces were broken off and at the bottom of the cover. Very disappointed with this. The sound was good and loud to be heard throughout the house but it's no use with burnt coils and broken springs

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after a month of minimal usage I was initially happy with this. However, after a month of minimal usage the top plastic striker and spring came off and the bottom striker looks like it is bent sideways and about to come off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Button has tendency to stick, then fry the innards of your bell. Literally. Our doorbell got stuck in the depressed position for hours before we got home and realized it. it had fried the bell and transformer, like literally melting plastic parts. It all could have been avoided with a better door bell button...

  • Is a 16V 30 VA transformer compatible with the BK125LWH?

Hi, I am considering replacing the pushbutton with a RingPro . The RingPro requires "16-24V 30VA", therefore, I will need to replace my existing transformer. Which transformer should I use? The C907? If i get a 24V transformer, would this impact the chime? thanks.
    Asked by: aleeemd
This is a follow up question. Ring said that their product (RingPro) requires 16-24V at ~30VA - all they can tell me is that my current transformer (C905 - 16V 10VA) is not enough - they cant tell me which transformer to pick as it depends on my existing chime, i.e. my Nutone. I saw that there is a C907 which has 16V 30VA. Is this compatible with my Nutone BK125LWH? Is the C907 compatible with the Nutone BK120NBWH? Please advise.

my doorbell stopped chiming, how do i troubleshoot it

the doorbell is only connected to the front door
    Asked by: Ron
Begin at the door bell. Does it light up? When pushing in can you hear any sound being made (not chime) check wires behind door bell are they secured down under the screw making contact. Open up the ringing box. Check your 2 springs and white contacts(that hit the chimes) are they both there? Check your wires are they all connected snug. Look at your coils behind the wires are they burnt, black, silver, broken. Are any of your wires pinched anywhere. Check your power source is it receiving power. Is your neutral secure.

There is just a electrical humming noise when pushing the doorbell

When pushing the button, there is a electrical hum from the unit. I opened the cover, and find that the two plungers do not go up and down when the button is pushed, but I can hear the hum, as if there is current going through, but nothing is happening.

It could be the transformer is going bad. That's what happened with my last one.

Spring and white contact popped off

I am installing the Ring doorbell and while the chime cover was off the right spring and contact popped off. Can show a picture what it is supposed to look like. I don't think I found all the pieces as it does not has the metal piece like the left spring unit.

    Only one ring??

Purchased a new home and front door bell is a single ring. Is there another button that provides 2 rings?
    Asked by: BB321
Thank you for your question. Actually, the BK125LWH should have 2 notes for the front door. I would suspect that either the wiring is not correct or possibly, the chime is defective. Please call out Technical Support group at 888-336-6151. They will be happy to assist you.
