Rated 4 out of 5 by overall product summary is very good This fan was easy to do a replacement-install. dimensions were the same as older model. The loudness is a little more than my previous one, but suction is much better. Looking all the other choices I had, I would have chosen this model again. It does the trick and at an affordable price. February 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product. We replaced a noisy fan in our master bathroom with this fan/light fixture. The fan is so quite -- it doesn't run you out of the room when you need to run it. February 9, 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by This product makes noise when it is windy outside NuTone model 769RL bath fan installed in new construction, makes noise when it is windy outdoors. From the FAQ section of the the Nutone website, the company is well aware that this issue exists & has not taken steps as of early 2015, to aid the installer with a "fix" for this issue. NuTone should consider adding a bumper of some kind on dampers to prevent back draft movement and resulting noise. February 8, 2015

    What are my retrofit options?

The light stopped working in our 2-switch installation. Removed and tested the light assembly in another outlet. Re-assembled the fixture and light stopped again after 2 days.

Is there a newer model which will retrofit into the same housing or ceiling hole? If not, which parts should I replace to rectify/improve operation?

I have a Nutone 663LN, light & fan combo, and I was looking for an upgrade that will fit into the existing housing. Will the 763RLN fit into the existing 663LN housing using the 763RLN motor, fan, light, & cover assembly? If not, could you suggest an alternative?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 663LN exhaust fan/light. The 763RLN would be the replacement for the 663LN, but you would need to completely remove the 663LN from the ceiling to install the 763RLN. The parts from the 763 will not work in the 663 housing. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.
