Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! Nice powerful little unit, my bathroom is a litte on the small side so it clears it up pretty quick. Noise is there, but nothing to bother me. I would replace with the same one and thinking of adding the same one to my work area. March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good "Bang for Buck" This product seems to be a good "bang for the buck". It was a replacement for a old Nutone model that lasted for almost 25 years. My only complaint is that I had to cut out the ceiling to install because the old unit was obsolete and a replacement motor was not available. During the installation, I discovered that the exhaust duct was completely blocked with a nest of yellow jackets, so this became a bigger job than expected. By any rate, after being stung a couple of times, I was able to complete the installation, including new duct work and drywall patching. Also, I am using a 75W LED bulb which works fine. Rated 5 out of 5 by The features and price of this product are an excellent value. This fan/light has been an excellent purchase. It was very easy to install. The ability to vent moisture from a shower is very good and quiet. The light is more than adequate. March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Functionality is good The fan works great. Only problem that we have is when there are strong winds, the "flap" is making a lot of noise. Still not able to determine the problem. But for that would recommend same March 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This was the highest model for the size we needed (NOT HAPPY) My bathroom is only approx. 8x5 and this model doesn't do really anything. We needed a lighted model which it does light up the room good but that is about it. If we would have purchased the next lighted model it would have taken up half of my ceiling which would have looked stupid. NOT HAPPY! March 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Upgrade to builders grade CFM Works as expected. Better air movement and quieter than one builder installed March 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not bad for the price My only real issue with it is that it is loud. If you don't mind that then it works fine. The first one quit working after only a short time. I didn't have my receipt but customer service was great. They sent a replacement motor without any hassle and it was easy to install. The replacement has worked fine for several years now. March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loud but efficient I installed this in our half bath. The fan replaced a ceiling light that was installed by a previous owner of the house. It was easy to install from our attic as I had access to the ceiling from up there. The fan runs a bit loud, but does a good job of clearing odors quickly. March 10, 2014

What model Nutone/Broan fan / light combo will fit in the existing hole in the ceiling which holds the 769rl. I want to replace it with a stronger CFM and more quiet motor.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 769RL exhaust fan/light. We do have a couple of models that use a smaller hole and would have 80 CFM instead of 70 and are quieter, but there are no models that will fit in that opening that have significantly more CFM and are quieter. You would need to enlarge the ceiling opening. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

What kind of light bulb is correct for NUTONE Model 763RL B

the bulb that was in the unit appears to be too hot as it is discoloring the plastic. It says to use type A, 100 watt max, I.C.; yet the bulb in there was a 75 watt, so I think something was incorrect, perhaps the wrong type? This is a resale and lots of things were incorrect.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 763RLN exhaust fan/light. The 763RLN will handle up to a 100 watt maximum, Type A, frosted, incandescent bulb. If the lens is discoloring, the light socket has been bent downwards so the bulb is resting on the lens. If you remove the bulb and bend the light socket upwards, then reinstall the bulb, you should be fine.

We had the 769RL professionally installed last month and it worked fine. Today we turned it on and there is a loud buzz coming from the motor. The fan and the light both work but the buzz is very annoying. Any idea what it could be?

The fan occasionally trips my GFCI outlet, what causes this. Only happens once a week or so. Fan is on branch circuit from 20 amp breaker to 15 amp GFCI to double switch operating fan and light separately.

Thank you for your question on the model 769RL exhaust fan/light. The problem you are seeing could be a bad electrical connection or it could have to do with a lack of insulation around and on top of the unit housing. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

    Answer:
On both the 769RL and the 763RLN, the grille is held up to the ceiling with the reflector assembly. By doing this, it effectively removes the perceptive excessive length of the bolt, as it places the grille in between the ceiling and the reflector.
