Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! Nice powerful little unit, my bathroom is a litte on the small side so it clears it up pretty quick. Noise is there, but nothing to bother me. I would replace with the same one and thinking of adding the same one to my work area. March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The features and price of this product are an excellent value. This fan/light has been an excellent purchase. It was very easy to install. The ability to vent moisture from a shower is very good and quiet. The light is more than adequate. March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Functionality is good The fan works great. Only problem that we have is when there are strong winds, the "flap" is making a lot of noise. Still not able to determine the problem. But for that would recommend same March 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This was the highest model for the size we needed (NOT HAPPY) My bathroom is only approx. 8x5 and this model doesn't do really anything. We needed a lighted model which it does light up the room good but that is about it. If we would have purchased the next lighted model it would have taken up half of my ceiling which would have looked stupid. NOT HAPPY! March 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Upgrade to builders grade CFM Works as expected. Better air movement and quieter than one builder installed March 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not bad for the price My only real issue with it is that it is loud. If you don't mind that then it works fine. The first one quit working after only a short time. I didn't have my receipt but customer service was great. They sent a replacement motor without any hassle and it was easy to install. The replacement has worked fine for several years now. March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loud but efficient I installed this in our half bath. The fan replaced a ceiling light that was installed by a previous owner of the house. It was easy to install from our attic as I had access to the ceiling from up there. The fan runs a bit loud, but does a good job of clearing odors quickly. March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Easy install. Instructions clear. It had a little "metallic" rattle to it when it was installed. Tried to find out what it was. Never did find it. That sound has gone away now that it is settled in. March 10, 2014

I have two switches to operate the light & fan. Coming into the fan from the switches is a Black,Red & White wire. The Fan has a Green,Blue ,Black & 2 white wire. How do they match up to incoming power. The wiring diagram dose not show a red wire coming in and is very confusing. I have the green mounted to the side of the box with the ground wire. where does rest of them go?

Thank you for your question on the model 763LN exhaust fan/light. The two white wires from the 763 go to the house white neutral wire. The black and blue wires will go to the two hot power wires (black and red) from your switches.

769RFT Wiring Instructions clear as mud

I have purchased a NuTone Model "769RFT" 70 CFM Fan/Light that includes a 13-watt Fluorescent Lighting feature. The wiring diagram is confusing and is not understood. I want to connect the wiring to an existing switch that previously was connected to the fan that was removed (e.g., single switch).

The house switch wires include a black, white, and a bare wire. The bare wire is presumably the ground wire which seems to also be referred to as a neutral wire.

The NuTone Model 769RFT wiring includes black, wight, blue, and green. the diagram for a single switch shows confusing connections for the NuTone black, white, and blue wires - what about the green wire doesn't this wire get connected to house wiring in some fashion? How are these to be connected to the black, white, and bare wire house wiring?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 769RFT exhaust fan/light. In wiring the 769 to a single switch you wire the green wire from the 769 to the house bare ground wire. The two white wires from the 769 will go to the house white neutral wire. The black and blue wires from the 769 will go to the single black hot power wire from the switch.
