Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one - perfect! Although my tiny bathroom had a window, moisture from showering made mold a pervasive problem in my bathroom. I didn't have a ceiling fan. With limited space, I thought a combination fan-light would help. Looked at many options, then found this product. Loved everything about it. Pleasant design, nightlight, powerful quiet fan, so I am thrilled. An electrician installed in same spot as old ceiling light and vented to outside wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bathroom fixture !!! The lights & fan can be used in different types of modes. Bright light to see what you're doing at the vanity or the night light for when you get up in the middle of the night. The fan; exhaust's the moisture after a shower very quickly & quietly. It was very easy to install I made a good purchase, when I bought this bath fixture for our remodeling project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not remove any humidity, moisture, or heat This product is supposed to handle humidity, moisture and heat for a room UP TO 100 sf. My bath is 60sf and the product does not work at all. The cabinets, mirror, and floor are wet after a shower...not damp...WET. The light is the only redeeming value. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features We like our purchase, added a dimmer switch, so the main light can be dimmed. Night light feature is what drew us to this fan, very qu8, by the way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NuTone Customer Service is horrible. I bought this a while ago but only recently was able to have it installed only to discover it had a dud LED light. I bought the other one (with the square glass) and it looks great and worked out of the box/installed. When I called customer service I told them the LED is what didn't work and after weeks of going back and forth with the woman who apparently didn't know how to find/open attachments (proof of purchase/receipt that I sent her - and yes you'd think that since that's part of her job she would have known how to do that!!!), she sent the completely wrong part. AND having looked at the replacement parts diagram, the part that actually went bad doesn't even have a part number. And I had a licensed/union electrician do the installation and he did the troubleshooting of all the parts and that was the only part that wasn't functional - he even purchased a new tester to make sure it wasn't that his was too old. This whole process has been nightmare and I still don't have a working night light because of them. VERY VERY frustrating! I'd recommend the light/fan to people BUT ONLY if it works - which of course you can't know when you purchase it. What a drag. CONS: if a part doesn't work - just plan on it not ever working because the NuTone customer service is useless. PROS: if it DOES work it looks great and the night light is very cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A quite vent fan with excellent light performance and style This fan/light was purchased as part of a to-the-studs bathroom remodel and significant bathroom upgrade. I was looking for a fan light combo to go into the location where there was only a ceiling lamp before, the bathroom had no powered venting prior to the remodel. I was looking for three characteristics of a fan/light for this application. 1. supremely quiet. 2. Attractive relative to the manner in which the bathroom was going to be trimmed out. 3. Fully functional as a ceiling light replacement. Many searches and home store visits later and this is what I settled on, and for good reason. The fan is quiet and reasonably high volume. It is rated for 110 CFM but is only .7 Sones loud. There are fans out there that are marginally quieter, but their air flow is generally lower, sometimes by quite a bit. You can hear the fan run when it is on, but it doesn't sound like a jet at idle. The light package is more than capable of lighting a whole room. The unit uses 2 GU24 18W CFL bulbs. In my opinion, light output is about equivalent to 2 60-75 watt incandescent bulbs. These bulbs look like standard twisted tube CFLs, but do not have a screw base, they have a two pin base, making them shorter than a standard 18w CFL with a screw base. As a side note, the GU24 bulbs aren't impossible to find, but they may require a special order. I purchased replacement GU24 bulbs to have on hand from Amazon at a very competitive price. The icing on the cake is the blue LED night light. As seen on the web site, the transparent plastic base is the diffuser for the LED lighting system. The LED is only bright enough to be a night light. When the night light is on, the room has a nice blue glow and the light diffuser also glows blue at the edges. Some materials I have read about this fan indicate that the LED light diffuser is glass, but that is not the case. The entire external housing of the fan is plastic, including the LED light diffuser and the lens of the main light. The housing and lenses are not heavy duty plastic, so use care when cleaning or removing the lens to replace bulbs. This unit is installed with a three switch control structure. One switch for the fan. One of the LED lighting and one for the main light (which is also connected to a light over a vanity). I would recommend a similar switch structure to allow separate use of all the components of the fan unit. I strongly recommend this light/fan. It is a bit expensive, but it is attractive, puts out a lot of light for the room and the LED night light is a nice feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to our bathroom! We purchased this fan for our newly remodeled bathroom. We are very happy with this purchase. The fan/light looks great. The fan is very quiet and is very efficient. We love the nightlight. It's soft blue light is perfect.

  • Are lightbulbs replaceable with LED?

I would like to move to brighter LED Bulbs. Is that possible?
    Asked by: Jimmy
This fan/light uses GU24 bulbs. I've only seen GU24 bulbs as twisted tube CFLs. GU24 has the two-pin base rather than a conventional screw in base. It is always possible that a lighting manufacturer will develop an LED bulb that supports the GU24 base, however I haven't seen such a development.

    LED and fan operation

I have wired the unit according to the instructions. The LED will not operate independent from the fan, it only turns on when the fan is on. Is this how the unit is intended to operate or is this incorrect? Thanks Alex
    Asked by: Kerry
if you did not install the wire to the switch independently then it will work only with the fan. All my lights are independent from the fan. I have installed 3 switches and 14-3 wire along with the 14-2 which was already there.

What color of LED bulbs are included?

We really like this fan/light! Are the bulbs included soft, cool, warm white? Also can you specify the bulb's color temperature?
    Asked by: Steve
The main light is a (2) GU-24 CFL cool white bulbs (No LED Equivalents). The LED comes out of the Plastic Ring with Hi-Tech Cool Blue color.

which size 3 button switch should I use, what amp?

    Asked by: steve
I have a related question. I am remodeling and already have a two-function switch installed (dimmer light switch above fan switch). Will this switch work with this model, or do I need to replace with a three function switch?

how many switches do i need?

i have one switch currently in my bathroom and i do not mind having the fan and main lighting working together. if i buy this model and connect it with one switch can i enable that the fan and main light operate and the led nightlight i just wont connect at all?
    Asked by: cr
You sure could. You would just pigtail the light and fan together into the load end of the switch. Do not use a 15A switch on a 20A breaker. The other way around is fine. They do make a fan that is cheaper with only a light and a fan.
