How do you replace the light bulb on Model QTREN080FLT?
"Please remove the plastic lens from the grille. The bulb will be exposed and you should be able pull out of the socket. If you can't get it out, the older versions had little clips that held the bulb base in place. You would then have to spread the clip away from the bulb base with a small flat-bladed screw driver. The bulb can then be removed. Please contact our Technical Service department at 888-336-6151 if further assistance is needed.

condensation drip from fan.
During extreme cold weather, water begins dripping within a minute of turning the fan on, even without humidity from showering. Vents vertically through attic to roof vent, about a 5-6' run. I do plan on insulating the vent pipe. My question is, is their some kind of damper or flapper that can be installed at either the fan or end of duct pipe to prevent super cold air from entering duct pipe?
Thank you for your question on the model QTREN110FLT exhaust fan/fluorescent light/night light. There should already be a back draft damper installed on the unit itself, where the duct work connects to the unit housing. Along with insulating around and on top of the unit housing and duct work we recommend having a roof cap with a back draft damper included.

Can I install this fan to replace an existing fan without going onto the attic?
If I want to attach the housing directly to the joist, it appears that I would have to do this from the attic.
If I use the hanger bars, it still looks like this fan can not be installed from below the ceiling because the mounting flange extends beyond the size of the drywall cutout, that I assume should be the exact size of the housing.
When connecting the duct to the housing, does this have to be done from the attic as well?
Thank you for your question on the model QTREN110FLT exhaust fan/fluorescent light/night light. If you try to install the QTREN110FLT without attic or crawl space access, you will need to cut the hole in the ceiling larger than would normally be necessary and patch the hole after the installation is done. We do have the “XN” series of fans and fan/lights that are designed to be installed without access from above.

I need a replacement Nutone fan light combo to fit in 9" x 11" and 8" deep housing.
I have this Nutone fan / light combo in my bath room, its' motor stopped working. It has motor model number QT100FL or the fan kit to replace old motor. I do not want to cut the ceiling and install bigger housing.
Do you have any solution to my problem.
Thank you for your question on the model QT100FL exhaust fan/fluorescent light/night light. The only parts available for use in the QT100FL housing would be the original replacement parts. The power unit assembly (motor mounting bracket, motor and blower wheel) is available through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page. The part number is 0696B000. Can I mix parts from the new model with the old model?
I have the older version of the QTREN110FLT. However, my local stores only sell the newer model. Is it possible to mix and match parts from these? For example, will the original ballast attach to the new unit that has two 18W bulbs instead of one 42W bulb? Will the lights work properly? Does the grill/lens attach the same way?
Thank you for your question on the model QTREN110FLT exhaust fan/light/night light. You can use the new updated QTREN110FLT parts in the older housing. You would remove the ballast and reflector/grille assembly from the old unit and replace it with the new reflector/grille assembly. The new assembly uses bulbs that have a built in ballast, so you do not need the old ballast. The new grille assembly will plug into the socket that the old ballast plugged into.
