Rated 3 out of 5 by from This model was supposed to meet all my criteria but.. I wanted two main things from the fan. Get rid of the steam in a timely manner and as quietly as possible. On paper this should be the perfect fan. Unfortunately, it clears steam so slowly that I sometimes have to leave it running after I'm finished. I also like quiet but this fan does not deliver until I turn it off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and powerful exhaust fan We had this installed almost two years ago when we renovated a hall bathroom. It replaced an old, inefficient, and very noisy exhaust fan, so to us it seems VERY quiet. In this 5' x 11' bathroom, the mirrors never fog during showers with the fan in operation. We installed it with a timer wall switch, which offers 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 minute intervals of operation. If your shower (or whatever else you are doing in your bathroom that requires an exhaust fan) takes than one hour you should probably not use a timer... The extra lighting is nice to have and makes the bathroom extremely bright when used in conjunction with the vanity lighting. We recently purchased an additional unit for renovation of another bathroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quiet - Not What It Says It Is! I bought this unit based on it being a good product by Nutone. It had good cfm rating and the noise level is suppose to be 1 sone. I was very disappointed after the installation. It is not a quiet unit...I am very disappointed! Will not recommend for anyone that wants a whisper quiet fan. It does look nice, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This fan is powerful and quiet! This fan was a good investment. The sound level is extremely low, but the fan is powerful enough to keep the bathroom steam free while the shower is on. It also has a night light feature so you don't blind yourself in the middle of the night with the regular light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I love this fan. This is so much better than the other fans I have had. It is powerful but quiet. I did purchase a switch that will run everything independently. It is also very nice looking. I will purchase another one for my other bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great!!!! I installed this fan/light in our master bath after the old Nutone gave up the ghost. The wife is thrilled, the fan is quieter than the old one by at least half and the main light is fantastic! The cherry on the sunday though is the built in nightlight. I was skeptical that it would be functional, but it is awesome! The light is very soft and the perfect light to keep on at night all night long. Not distracting at all. I would recommend this fan/light to anyone looking for a quality new or replacement installation,

  • Why did my lights go off?

I installed the ventilation fan and connected it to an existing 3 switch and everything worked well for about 10 days. Then the lights went off. What is going on and how I fix it? The fan still works, though and I hadn't gotten round to buying the night light bulb yet.

    What causes decreased performance?

This fan is installed in a bathroom that is about 325 cubic feet. When I installed it about 4 years ago, it worked fine. When showering, the mirrors were not foggy, and the air did not feel excessively humid. Currently, the fan does not seem to be drawing out enough moist air. I have checked the damper on the roof, and it operates properly. Could the motor be bad after such a short time?
    Asked by: John
Thank you for your question on the model QTN110LE exhaust fan/light/night light. Numerous things can cause decreased performance including dust build-up on the blower wheel, a loose blower wheel, obstructions in the duct work or a slow motor. Metallic rattle when fan is on?

I just had 2 of these installed in my bathrooms. Each one has a slight, metallic sounding rattle when the fan is turned on. Is this normal? From the attic at the box, you cannot hear the rattle. Only when you are in the bathroom. Again, both fans make the same rattle. Is it the fan blade or a motor vibration?

I'm not sure, but maybe something not securely mounted.

    Can I use led bulbs?

They have LED's with GU24 bases. Can those be used? If yes, can I use only one if the length is longer than the bulbs specified. Also can and adapter be used so one can use screw in type LED bulbs?
    Asked by: gp
I have no idea about the technical aspects of the install, but, I had LED bulbs installed and they work just fine.
