Rated 5 out of 5 by from JUST WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT 7 YEARS AGO AND OUR WALK OUT LOWER LEVEL NEEDED SOME EXTRA HEAT IN OUR TWO LOWER LEVEL BATHS. EVEN THO WE HAVE A SEPERATE HEATING SYSTEM THERE . WE SHOULD HAVE HEATED THE FLOORS BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST HOUSE WE EVER BUILT. AND THE ONLY SUGESTION WE GOT FROM THE BUILDER WAS TO INSTAL A SEPERATE FURANCE FOR THE LOWER LEVEL. SO WE REPLACED THE FAN/LIGHT WITH THE HEATER/FAN. WOW!! INSTANT HEAT.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from loud, not much heat In a nut shell, I wouldn't recommend this product. Our bathroom is not overly large, the unit does not heat it enough and when running it is very noisy. Can't recommend it and wouldn't replace it with another NuTone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied I am very happy with my new vent fan/heater. I replaced an older Nutone unit that stopped working after many years service. This unit works as well as the old one and seems well build. It had a bit of a rattle when I first installed it, but I was able to adjust the cover and remove the rattle completely. I am very happy with venting direct. Their website was easy to use - easy to find what I was looking for. I also saved quite a bit over other outlets. The product arrived quickly and well packed.

  • other than the light what is the difference between 665rp and 605rp.? why is the 665rp less expensive?

    Asked by: david
Thank you for your question on the models 665RP and 605RP. The only difference between these two units is that the 605RP does not have a light. Pricing can vary based on the store you purchase this from or the on-line dealer, so checking different places may be in your best interest.

Duct size for long ducts with 605RP fan

At what length should you increase the size of the duct? My duct will be about a 15 foot length. Should I increase from the 4 inch specified?
    Asked by: Charlie
Thank you for your question regarding the duct run length for the 605RP. The 605RP can be vented 30 feet when using 4 inch rigid duct work. If you use flexible duct, that length will be decreased. Also, any turns in the duct work will reduce the overall length of run. If you need any further assistance, please call Technical Support at 1-888-336-6151.

What wall switch do I need for the 605rp?

    Asked by: Rich
Thank you for your question on the model 605RP exhaust fan/heater. You will need two switches to operate the 605RP. If you have a double gang switch box on the wall, you can use two standard wall switches. If you only have a single gang box, you can use our model 68, two function switch. You will need a dedicated 15 amp circuit and a single white wire along with two hot power wires going from the wall switches to the unit.
