Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes too much noise This product works well. But in a small bathroom makes way too much noise. it would be better if maybe a smaller motor be attached to cut down the noise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from WORKS GREAT initially... I thought I had found the fan needed for a bathroom with little circulation. The 8210 was great for the first 2 weeks. The damper was defective and would not close. I called where the fan was purchased, I was told the 8210 was discontinued all together and would need to buy a new fan. The 8210 is still in bathroom opened damper fogged up mirrors and all as I look for a replacement. Hopefully NuTone fan is not a disco'd one this next purchase thanks for allowing me to donate + $100 for the 8210 in hopes it created a better successor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works but loud Bought it about 6 months ago. Works fine but replaced the motor with a quieter one (less CFM of course).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job but a little loud Removes the moisture pretty well in a smaller size bathroom. Not too difficult to install. Is rather loud but can work as "white noise" when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product. Lots of air flow. I used 2 at my rental property, one in each restroom. They are both still running fine and giving quick air exchange. Just what I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Nutone ventiliation fan does its job well My 40 year old ventiliation fan quit working and we decided to replace it with a ventilation fan of similar shape and size. This Nutone fan has worked flawlessly for a year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works very but fairly loud Does a very good job of pulling air out of the bathroom. Fairly loud but to be expected for the price. Major disappointment is the high cost of the filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase This exhaust fan was the perfect replacement for my old rusty and dirty fan in my bathroom. It complimented my other bathroom updates.

    Replacement damper

I have a '60's vintage "Mercury" fan, Model #M622 (Mercury Fan Co., Cincinatti, OH) that appears to be the same as the 8210. The blades of the butterfly damper (7.75" dia.) are damaged. Would the ones for the 8210 fit?
    Asked by: aitch2oh
Thank you for your question on the model M622 vertical discharge fan. The damper for the M622 is no longer available and since the M622 is over 40 years old, we would not be able to tell you if the damper for the 8210 would be an exact fit. You may want to find an in-line damper to place in the duct work.

will this replace the old 1960s model 8210 exactly?

    Asked by: sofloire
Thank you for your question on the model 8210 exhaust fan. The current 8210 would be an exact replacement for the 8210 from the 1960’s. You will need to completely remove the old version to install the new one, but it will fit in the same spot.

would like the fan to operate when utility room reaches a certain temperature,
    Asked by: Steve
Thank you for your question. You can use the Model 70TW. The 70TW has a "comfort zone setting". The fan will activate when the temperature reaches your "set" temperature. For further assistance, contact Technical Support at 888-336-6151.

Can it be used to push air into a room, instead of sucking air out.

    Asked by: JoeyC
Thank you for your question on the model 8210 exhaust fan. The 8210 is only designed to take air out of the room and cannot be made to pull air in. We do not have any products similar to the 8210 that can pull air into a room.
