Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy Replaced our 20 year- old Broan with this product during our bathroom remodel. This one is noisier than our old fan while the ventilation is about the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for price I purchased this because it matched the cutout of my existing unit. It's a low end unit but it can handle a normal light bulb, which was my main reason for getting this item. In the end I only took the light portion out of this unit and replaced my old light unit with this one, but goal accomplished. No more ridiculous California CFL code and instead I have a real light that allows me to see. Placed a high lumen LED light inside and all is well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nu tone 763 There is a constant flapping noise in high winds.. Been in my new home just under a week, I'm very close to the beach and it's always windy... It's like shutter door in a horror movie that keeps slamming in the wind... Except I can't close it and secure it... Any idea how to fix? Anybody?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet Don't know how well it clears a room of steam as I purchased it for a rental. But it is very quiet. Glad it has replaceable parts as things get damaged a little bit more often in our rental house. Had to plaster the ceiling as it was smaller than the original (plus put in a cross beam so it could be attached securely). The way the light works can't even tell I patched it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fan & Light We installed this fan in our master bath and our kids bath about a month ago, and they are great! Our fans our located in the shower so we really wanted a fan/light combo. This fan is much more quiet than our old fans, and the light is great. It is really nice to have the light in the shower so we don't have to use the main bathroom lights. It was also very easy to install!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light receptacle does not work correctly The fan itself works fine, but the light plugs in to a interior receptacle in the fixture. If you push the plug in a small distance into the receptacle it works. If you push it all the way in like it is supposed to be there is no connection and the light will NOT work. After installing the fixture I played around with the plug for about 10 minutes trying to get it to work and it finally did. But after a short while it stopped working. I am considering using a Dremell tool to cut the prongs on the plug so they only go in a short way and see if that works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Fan/Light This fan/light is really good and runs well. Sometimes it has a buzzing sound because the fit is not as great as it could be and the plastic light cover vibrates against the fan housing somewhat. Sometimes it's not noticeable, other times it is. My husband just took off the light cover and put it back on and the buzzing noise stopped for a while. It alternates being noisey, now. No big deal, just thot I'd mention it for future customers. My husband is going to put some tape or something on the light cover to keep it from vibrating and making noise. This is only reason for 4 stars. Light and fan itself work well! No other complaints. Would recommend because this is only reasonably-priced replacement fan/light for one the builder originally put in our house. ( and only one that fits)

  • How do I remove the cover to clean? I have several dead flies in it, and I'd like to remove them

    Asked by: Shelley
Thank you for your question on the bathroom and ventilation fans. The covers could come down several different ways, depending on the model number of the unit. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for assistance.

What's the maximum combination length and turns supported by the fan power?

I have a couple of ducting options for this installation. One option, my preference, makes an 80 degree turn at the duct connector, runs 5 feet, then makes a 45 degree turn and runs 9 feet to the exterior wall. Is this venting route supported by the fan power? Thanks
    Asked by: P Home Owner
Thank you for your question. We recommend running your duct work straight off of the duct connector for at least two feet before making a bend. If you are using 4" rigid duct work, your total duct run (including 45's and 90's) cannot exceed 54 feet. For further assistance, contact Technical Support at 888-336-6151.

i installed my fan 2-3 weeks ago and it was quiet. Now it seems like it gets louder everyday. What do I do to keep it quiet?

    Asked by: cindy lu
Thank you for your question on the model 763 exhaust fan/light. Our guess is that you installed the 763 with flexible tubing and it is starting to collapse on itself and causing a restriction of the air movement. We would recommend using rigid duct work with our fans. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.

the light is out and I cant figure out how to change bulb?

    Asked by: Phillies1
Thank you for your question on the model 763 exhaust fan/light. To change the light bulb you place a small flat bladed screwdriver between the lens and grille and gently pry the lens out of the grille. The installation instructions are available for download from our web site for your convenience if you need further assistance.
