Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Vibrating Head Unit Basic vacuum installed in house we bought goes back almost 20 years and is still doing great. Not so much for the hose and beater vacuum head. Original one finally gave it up but had more metal parts. Replacement head is lighter weight and I like the hose better (more flexible) but as stated by other customers, plastic bar over the roller brush has cracked away from 2 out of 3 screws and once it is loosened the noise is deafening and vacuum doesn't work. Beater works but not efficient suction so worthless. Less than 2 year old. We are ordering a new plastic bar for $1+ with shipping at $6.95 plus tax. We will see if this solves the problem. The brush roller vibrates a lot which is what breaks the plate away from the screws holding it in place. Too bad this part isn't metal. Would solve the problem. Hope the deafening noise is solved once the new plastic plate is installed. Will be reporting back on reviews as to efficiency of the "fix".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great design; underbuilt using poor materials. We all lose. NuTone has done a good job with their design. But there are parts that fall apart or self-destruct when vacuuming. The bar itself is well built. IIs' ends or axle(too short) of the bar sit inside a (too) thin, round raceway. Soon the bar is flipping & flopping until something breaks. Adding other users; it's a major complaint. The raceway on our power head has been beaten into an oval; the bar flops back/forth, up/down, etc.. The bar then beats on the guard until there's only one screw left. And loud? Oh man was it loud. Other users know what I mean. Happily, our neighbour had a vacuum we could use until I found another power head w/wand. And I will likely be 'repairing' our central vacuum for some time to come. Please, do not buy this vacuum.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality Gets very loud rather quickly. It cuts in and out while vacuuming, the wheels keep falling off. Do not waste your hard earned money on this inferior product. Nutone has replaced it twice in two years .... fingers crossed for a third replacement in as many years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from did not last At first this product was wonderful, but after about 14 months it began to get noisy. I took the cover off the beater bar to see if it needed cleaning. It did have some hair and gunk in it, but no more than I've cleaned out of it before. I noticed the bearings on the beater bar were very dry. I lubricated them and put the unit back together. It did no good. Now after listening to this once quiet, but now noisy beater bar; it soon began to cut out as we vacuumed. Today, it does absolutely nothing. It is junk. NOT worth the money at all!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk! In one year have gone through 2 power brush units. Plastic unit over the brush cracks and the rotating brush destroys it's end connection. Have also gone through 2 hard floor units, they crack at the wand connection. The solution for that is a 1 1/2" hose clamp to hold it in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beater bar to fragile Relative to the previous power nozzle that I had from Nutone, this one was short lived. In less that a year the beater bar began to make noises. When looked at for service, the plastic side of the beater bar had deteriorated to the point where it would not hold the bar firmly in place as it turned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should have Bought another Dyson Everything works. Too bulky and time consuming when using the central vac system. To much time wasted moving hoses around. Can not get the cleaning people to use it. They bring their own vacuum.

  • REPLACE CV-750 PART No. 599 WITH CT700?

    Asked by: SRC
Yes, the CT-700 will work with the CV750. You probably will have to change the wand set depending on the vacuum hose that you have. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us at 888-336-6151. Thank you!

ct700 turns off and on when using it.

I have trouble shot the unit the leds stay lit and the motor turns off and on know matter if you are moving the unit or not. I have gone thru the unit and the only thing that can be at falt is the circuit card that controls the motor. can I get a replacement part? this happens no matter where the wan position is left or right up or down. If it is left running by itself it will go off and on with no one near it. I have tested the motor and works fine. So the only thing is that pc card that controls the motor. Can I get a replacement card?

Can the CT700 be used in place of CT600?

I need to replace my 6 year old CT600. Is the CT700 compatible?
    Asked by: rhank
Thank you for your interest in our products. The CT700 is the current power head. However, you will also need an additional model (model CT170 or CT175) so it works with your hose. Which model to get will depend on what hose you have. Here is the guide-line: '20'-Series hoses: Use the CT170 '15'-Series hoses: Use the CT175. If you are uncertain of which hose you have, give our Customer Service Department a call at 888-336-3948. Thanks, again.
