  • NuTone has taken recessed lighting a step further by incorporating light and powerful, quiet ventilation into one design. Recessed fan/lights offer versatile ventilation solutions for any room in the house. These fan/lights disappear into the ceiling and match perfectly to the decorative trim design used by major recessed lighting manufacturers. You’d never know it’s a fan, and that’s the point.

    • 70 CFM quickly reduces humidity to prevent or eliminate fogged mirrors and manage moisture in bathrooms up to 65 square feet, so your vision will always be clear and your surroundings will always be comfortable
    • Very quiet operation at 1.5 Sones, for an environment that is so peaceful, you’ll always want the fan on
    • White trim ring is designed to work in any décor and with most popular brands of recessed lighting, making this fan the perfect choice for use in family rooms, utility rooms, kitchens and bathrooms
    • A 75-watt incandescent bulb (R30 or BR30 not included) provides ample lighting so you can complete your tasks
    • UL Listed for use over tub or shower with a GFCI circuit; that means you can optimize ventilation effectiveness by locating your fan exactly where you need it the most (use bulb type PAR30L or PAR30LN, not included)
    • Install this unit in a flat ceiling only

  • 744NT is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the combination of fan and recessed light but not the bulb I told my contractor that I wanted a recessed LED light and exhaust fan combination installed in my bathroom. He selected the 744LEDNT. I thought I was going to be super happy with it until I discovered that there is only 1 light bulb choice for this device. It is the bulb that comes with the device. Sure you can get always get a replacement bulb from any online reseller that sells the SATCO bulb or even directly from Nutone, but its the only bulb available. If you ever want to switch from the Soft White color (2700K) to a Bright White/Cool White (3500K), or even Daylight (5000K) color bulb you are completely out of luck. Buyers remorse has now set in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the light and very quite fan....cant find the lights to go in it!!! I just remodeled my bathroom, choose this fan/light because of its look and quite fan. However, it is very difficult to find the lights to go in it! I have checked all the major stores and even some smaller ones NO ONE sells this light bulb. I was sold a converter to put in the light socket which changes the prong LED bulb into a screw in LED bulb..... Not happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product One question: how do I access the fan for inspection and cleaning? The unit has been operating for 3 years and I am pretty sure the blower wheel is long overdue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution to the balanced ceiling This product solves the problem of balancing the elements on the ceiling of small spaces such as showers or WCs. Especially now when rainfall shower heads are becoming common.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quietly does its thing One of the most quiet exhaust fans that I have encountered. I recently installed the Nu-Tone 744NT and was very satisfied with its ability to quietly remove moist air from my bathroom while using the shower. I have a similar Nu-Tone unit in our other bathroom that has been in use for 10+ years with no issues whatsoever.

Please confirm that if I purchase the 744NT model that I can use an LED or CFL bulb purchased separately.

That I can buy any similar type (PAR30, BR30, etc) that fits the socket, CLF or LED that would work in any incandescent application in the home. Thank you
    Asked by: Tom
Thank you for your question on the model 744NT exhaust fan/light. The only bulbs recommended for the 744NT are the 75 watt maximum, R30, BR30, PAR30 or PAR30LN. For wet locations (above a tub or shower), the recommended bulbs are 75 watt maximum PAR30L or PAR30LN. We do not suggest using any other bulbs in this unit.

2017 mech code has changed. what is the max duct length for the 744nt?

    Asked by: Lenny
Thank you for your question. If you are using 4" galvanized steel duct work, you can ran that 744NT a total of 26 feet before noticing a drop off in CFM. If you are using flexible duct work, the total run cannot exceed 13 feet. Total run includes all bends and end caps. For further assistance, contact Technical Support at 888-336-6151.

    Light bulbs for 744nt?

Can the 744nt use a br30 15 watt 2700k e-26 base flood light cfl bulb instead of a incandescent bulb?
    Asked by: Craig J
Thank you for your question on the model 744NT exhaust fan/light. The 744NT requires the use of an R30, BR30, PAR30L, or PAR30LN lamp only (75 watt maximum). For wet locations (above a tub or shower) – use a PAR30L or PAR30LN (75 watt maximum) lamp only. We do not recommend using any other type of lamp in this unit.
