Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unit Stopped Working After Less Than 2 Years I enjoyed this unit - for the short period of time it worked. After remodelling my kitchen, I was pleased with the look and functionality of this unit. However, after less than a 2 year period, this unit has ceased to work completely. I have reset the power to it, and nothing works. Perhaps I got a bad unit, however the warranty is only 1 year, thus I strongly urge the buyer to beware. I would happily change my review of this unit if I were to be able to replace this unit since it is so new and now I am faced with having to purchase another brand. See the photos I've included with my review - both the unit and even the filters appear brand new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the Job This replaced a similar, but builder-grade model. The swap-out was simple, and went glitch-free, using the same attachment points. Pros: (1) Lowest speed is very quiet and does the job for most cooking. (2) Top speed is noisier, but will definitely deal with any serious smoke. (3) It is easy to clean. (4) The automatic speed regulator works as advertised, and is more useful than you might think. Cons: (1) Instructions for converting from unvented (as shipped) to vented installation are confusing (Had to rely on a private YouTube video). The factory-provided baffle that you install to make the conversion did not give a good seal, making the hood whistle in operation (Solved with duct tape). (2) A spring-loaded vent flap sometimes vibrates annoyingly. (3) The push-button controls are a bit small: Rockers would be better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product has many features but not all the features work or work well. I paid about a hundred dollars extra for the Heat Sentry System. We have know indication that it works. It never activated no matter what burnt on the stove. It does not work. Try to make use of the warranty. So far that does not work either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE it!!!!! We really do LOVE this hood fan! Bought it to replace the one that came with this house. We always hated having to turn the old one on. It sounded like a rocket taking off, that was on the lowest setting. You can only imagine what it sounded like if you had to go higher. In the one year we still had up, I think it was turned on a couple times & ONLY if we REALLY NEEDED it. IMAGINE...We actually can turn this hood fan while cooking, like your supposed to do! We can still have a conversation or hear what else is going on while you are cooking. The only setting that is even sort of loud is the "Burn" setting. But you still only use that when you burn something & only for a few seconds. Even that setting is quieter than the low setting on our old "rocket engine". The "Delay" button is also a nice option on this hood fan. There must be some kind of sensor in this one somewhere. It will actually turn itself on or increase, if needed. It has done that for me a couple times during a self-cleaning cycle on my oven. HANDY!! The lights are really good. I do like being able to select my light level, with more than just high or low. Especially since we leave it on the lowest setting over night, as a "night light" in the kitchen. It cleans really easy too! It even tells you when your filters need to be cleaned. Another bonus, the filters can just be in the dishwasher!! All in all, we are really very happy with our purchase of our Allure hood fan! I have already recommended this hood fan to numerous people & will of course continue to recommend. Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. It works well and looks great. The product was somewhat difficult to install. However, it works well and looks great. It blends well with our new oven. The lights could be more recessed since they are blinding to look at by short people like my wife.

  • Can the three level dimmer work with LED bulbs?

Can I use dimmable LED bulbs with this model or will it cause issues with the lighting or even damage the bulb?
    Asked by: steven1234
I tried LED light bulbs and they lit up fine but stuck out too far and were unsightly and blinding. Sadly, I had to use the hot halogen bulbs.

    Replacement model for WS1

Planning to change the range hood, currently we have allure ws1 (ducted) and would like to have more powerful range hood. Could you please recommend some models which can be installed in place of WS1. The spec. (height width etc) should be exactly same.
    Asked by: DP
Thank you for your question on the model WS1 range hood. If you need more air movement, you may want to look at the WS2 or the WS3 series range hoods.

How do I disable heat sensor?

Which Vent Damper Will I Need for This Range Hood?

The vent damper on my old range hood is integrated with the fan assembly unit and therefore I can't reuse my old vent damper. Which vend damper do you recommend for this unit? I assume I need a 7 inch damper to integrate it into the WS330WW and my 7 inch vent pipe system. The big box local stores don't carry a damper I could use; they only carry 6 and 8 inch dampers. Appreciate your help!
    Asked by: Juan
Thank you for your question on the model WS330WW range hood. We do sell two 7” duct dampers, model BP87 (gravity damper) and the 97 (spring loaded damper). You can get these through any of our distributors.

Length and base size of PAR20 bulb

If I understand this right, PAR20 refers to the diameter of the bulb? If so, what is the specification for the base (Exx??) for the bulb? And how long should the bulb be so as to not jut out of the unit? Thanks
    Asked by: M.S.
Thank you for your question on the model WS330WW range hood. PAR20 is the shape of the bulb itself and the bulb for the WS330WW has a standard screw in base. The distance from the bottom of the light socket to the face of the range hood is approximately 3-1/8”.
