  • Current-carrying hoses bring the power to wherever your vacuum reaches. This light-weight, flexible hose includes a direct-connect plug-in to use with electrified inlets. Convenient and useful with many floor tools, a current-carrying hose will make vacuuming easier and faster.

    • 30-Foot hose gives you the reach you need to cover a lot of territory before you move on to the next inlet, so you spend more time vacuuming and less time moving the hose around. Use with NuTone CI390 and CI395 series Inlets, Electrovalve® and Hayden Supervalves®
    • CH615 is lightweight and crushproof, so that means if it is accidentally stepped on or caught in a door, the hose springs back to retain its original state
    • Soft touch-grip handle has a full 360 degree swivel and ergonomic hand positioning for a comfortable grip and a 3-position thumb-slide on/off switch for easy operation to speed up your cleaning time
    • Designed for use with CT700 Deluxe Electric Power Brush and NuTone CI358, CI390 and CI395 series electrified inlets for choice and flexibility
    • UL Approved to assure reliability and confidence; includes convenient storage hanger to store hose when not in use

In order to use the CT700 power brush with the CH615, the CT175 retractable wand is required.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor electrical design in handle We had a central vac system installed in new construction 3 years ago which worked fine for about a year and a half until the handle switch became unreliable. The CH615 has a direct connect electrical plug into the wall socket on one end and a handle on the opposite end with the power switch built in. The switch has three positions: left to operate the vacuum, center to turn off, right to operate the vacuum and power head attachment for carpets. After some normal use, the power head would not operate at all and the vacuum would come on when the direct connect plug was inserted into the wall socket with the power switch in the off (center) position. I found the problem when I removed the plastic handle cover and discovered the wires leading from the hose had migrated out from under a couple of the ring connectors in the handle causing a short/no connection fault. I carefully re-positioned the wires back under the respective ring connector, put the handle cover back on and it worked as it should. But, only for a while as the wires continued to migrate out of position resulting in the same loss of functionality. I've had to do this a number of times and then finally had enough. The wires are so frayed that even my "repair" doesn't work anymore. I read reviews here on line and learned that Nutone directed others to call Tech Support which is what I did. Nice guy but, of no help. He said he had not heard of this problem before and had nothing to offer except that I buy a new hose. If the design hasn't changed then why would I expect a new hose to perform any better. Over time, the same issue is bound to happen and I'd rather spend my $190 and change on a better product. We had a central vac system in our previous home and it was trouble free for the 8 years we lived there. If contemplating a central vac system in your home, do your research and steer clear of the Nutone system that features the CH615 30 foot hose and handle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last I have had nothing but issues with Nutone since I installed the system in 2010. I have been through two power heads and the hose now has power issues again. Although Nutone replaced the power heads (after a few discussions) I still feel their products do not stand up to the Nutone name. I believe I need a new switch/wiring harness but unable to find the replacement part on Nutones website as the model I looked up does not show up and is currently shown on Nutones site.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product does not last very long This is the third hose I have had for my central vac system. This system was installed in a new home in March of 2013. It is basically used once a week. The electrical wires inside the hose fail. Seems they should last longer than a year a half considering the price. Will see how long this one last. Also need to wrestle with it soon and put a hose sock on it, since it's rigid enough that it rubs paint finish off doorway and corners where it's pulled from one room to another.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from doesn't last I have 2 of these at home one upstairs and one downstairs. I have one at my office. they last a few years and then fail, very expensive for what they are. They can do better,,,,they obviously don't care to do so.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted only two years Worked excellent for two years. Wire failed in hose. Store where I bought it has a replacement for $235.00 Unhappy about life span. Felt it should of lasted more than two years

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bends to near total collapse of any air suction. Multiple bends with each usage. So called "Crushproof hose" enables folding or bends of hose cutting off air. An aggravating nuisance to watch for and correct during vacuuming house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Replacement I purchased this hose to replace the original which was about 14 years old and had developed a broken wire causing it to cut out periodically. The new one was a seamless transition. The only slight problem is a very tight fit into the wall outlet but that should improve over time. Overall am pleased with the product.

  • I have a Nutone central vacuum system. I need to replace the hose. What are the differences between the CH515 and CH 615 models?

I have a model NT 1242 power brush for carpets that I need to clean two rooms so I need a current carrying hose. Thank you.
    Asked by: Tipper's mom
Thank you for your question on the model CH515 and CH615 central cleaning system hoses. The difference between the CH515 and CH615 hoses are the inlets you use for them. The CH515 will work in any of our inlets, while the CH615 needs a special electrified inlet. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

Why wont the level II suction work on my hose?

The level I power works well, but the level II suction wont work to allow me to run the power heads. I have supervalves with direct connect hoses
    Asked by: Angela
Thank you for your question on the model CH615 central cleaning system vacuum hose. If your hose will turn the system on in level I but not in level II, you probably need to replace the switch assembly in the handle of the hose. The part number for the switch repair kit is 0901B000 and it is available through the Customer Service Department at 888-336-3948.

Can I order a hose handle only?

I bought a CT700 power brush to replace my old CT600 unit from Platt Electric. I also bought a CT175 wand to go with it. But my old hose handle does not fit to connect with CT175, so I can't use the system. Can I order a CH515 Hose Handle alone to make the system working properly? Thanks for your attention.
    Asked by: Simon
Thank you for your question on the central vacuum system. The CT700 power head along with the CT175 wand is designed to be used with the CH515 or CH615 hose only. If you do not have a CH515 or CH615 hose, you will need to purchase a new hose. The CH515 and CH615 handle will not work on any other model hose.

    Does CH615 replace the CH515?

    Asked by: ty
Thank you for your question on the models CH515 and CH615 central cleaning system hoses. The CH615 is not a replacement for the CH515. The CH515 and CH615 are current hose models in our line. The CH615 is used with electrified inlets and the CH515 is used when you do not have electrified inlets. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

What model hose connects to a 330N wall inlet or a CT600 deluxe motor driven power brush?

    Asked by: Greg
Thank you for your question on the central vacuum system hoses. Any of the current carrying hoses, except for the CH610, CH615 and CH620, will work with the 330N wall inlet and the CT600 power head. The hose currently in our line that will work with both of these units is the CH515. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 if you need further assistance.
