Available in both a Deluxe, powered model with built-in convenience features, and three basic, no-frills units, all feature high quality metal construction, a ventilated, non-stick ironing board cover, installation flexibility, and just what every homeowner is always looking for – increased storage space.
The powered, Deluxe model features the convenience of a built-in electrical outlet with timer that automatically shuts off the power when not needed, a convenient work light, and a safety switch that shuts off electricity when the door closes. The Deluxe model also includes 180 degree swivel board capabilities to accommodate small spaces and can be adjusted to different heights to provide maximum comfort for each user.
“These innovative features give consumers what they have asked for – ease of ironing set up, timers that ensure power to the iron is cut off when not needed, improved lighting, storage for hot irons, extra shelf space for spray bottles and other accessories, and most importantly, invisibility when not in use”, says Formico.
All Ironing Center models are available without a door, allowing homeowners to have a custom door made to match existing woodwork, or to select one of NuTone’s doors in oak, birch, white panel, or featuring a beveled mirror. The Basic models also are available with white raised panel or simulated oak raised panel doors as a complete package. All doors include a magnetic catch to keep the door safely closed when not in use.
With the option of recessed- or surface-mounted installation and the ability to mount the doors on the right or left, NuTone Ironing Centers allow homeowners the flexibility to place the unit where it is most convenient – master bedroom, laundry room, kitchen or family room – saving time and space without compromising a room’s décor.
All units include a ventilated board designed to be resistant to moisture and cool quickly, a non-stick cover and come pre-assembled and ready to install. Replacement cover pads and hinge kits also are available. Door dimensions are 16 1/16 inches wide by 50 inches high and the unit requires a rough opening of 14 1/8 inches wide by 49 1/4 inches high by 3 7/8 inches deep.
