Hartford, Wis., April 11, 2008 –NuTone® has introduced a new universal retractable hose, CHV1, for use with its Central Vacuum System. The CHV1 is an easy-to-use and convenient vacuum hose storage solution, according to Tom Heidel, marketing manager, Central Vacuum Systems, Broan-NuTone.
“This hose is perfect for consumers who want a quick vacuuming option or do not have a lot of storage space,” says Heidel. “The hose stores at 11 feet, but expands to 30 feet in length, allowing quick cleaning and easy maneuvering.”
According to Heidel, the new retractable hose plugs into any standard central vacuum outlet, which then turns on the vacuum cleaner. By unlatching the collar on the handle, the hose will extend to 30 feet, allowing consumers to reach more spaces through the home. The hose then automatically retracts to 11 feet when done, providing easy storage. Heidel adds that the hose is universal to any central vacuum system manufacturer.
The NuTone Central Vacuum unit is engineered to fit easily into both new and existing homes. Made of a lightweight polymer designed to resist rust and dents, this flexible product can be installed for left- or right-intake. The contemporary, wall-hugging oval shape of the unit makes installation easy and saves homeowners space.
Quieter than other central vacuums, the new NuTone Central Vacuum unit features an internal sound suppression system that greatly reduces motor noise. The motor baffle also helps to reduce fan noise, while cooling airflow at the same time. NuTone takes central vacuum technology to a new level, Heidel explains, with a uniquely shaped, patent-pending air chamber that increases vacuuming efficiency.
The NuTone Central Vacuum bags and filters feature HEPA-rated media for better filtration and cleaner air as well as an anti-stick coating to reduce the sticking of dirt to filtration media, which helps reduce the loss of power over time. In addition, the bags and filters feature Microban® Antimicrobial Product Protection to inhibit the potential growth of odor causing microbes in the bag as well as the growth of microbes that can cause fouling of the filter.
