Some NuTone model numbers have an alpha suffix.

Example: 41000-L.

It is important to refer to the exact model number with the alpha suffix when selecting parts, requesting service or speaking to a technical support representative regarding your NuTone product.

Standard Under Cabinet


Label Placement

The model label is located either on the right or left side wall of the range hood canopy.

Allure Under Cabinet

Label Placement

Remove range hood filters by pulling down on the filter tabs. Theseries number is located either on the back wall of the range hood housing or on the Teflon air pan. (Example... WS1, WS2 or WS3)

Island Downdraft

Label Placement

The model label is located on the front of unit beneath the cook top.
Cabinet drawers or shelving may need to be removed to access label.

Standard Bath Fan

Label Placement

Remove the grille by pulling down 2 inches. Reach behind the grille and squeeze the mounting springs to remove the grille. The model label is located in the corner closest to the outlet. Some fans may have the model stamped into the motor plate instead of a printed sticker label.

Whole House Ventilator

Label Placement

The data label is located on top corner of the unit housing.

QuietTest

Label Placement

Remove the grille by pulling down 2 inches. Reach between the grille and ceiling and squeeze the mounting springs together. Pull springs out of slots in mounting plate. The model label is located on the power unit mounting plate.

Powered Attic Ventilators (PAVs)

Label Placement

The model label is located on the cover of the wiring box which is visible from the attic.

Utility Ventilators

Label Placement

Removed the grille by a central knob or two screws. The model may be ceiling or wall mounted. The label is located on the inside perimeter of housing opposite wiring panel.

Central Vacuum - Power Head

Label Placement

The model number is located on the bottom of the power head.

The model number is located on the side of the power unit.

Bulb Heater

Label Placement

Remove the bulb(s) from the unit. Remove the springs from the hooks inside the rough-in box. The model number is located on the inside end of the rough-in box.

ValueTest Heater

Label Placement

Release the locking tabs on the lens. Remove the lens. Remove the reflector mounting screw. Remove the reflector and grille. The model number is located on the inside edge of the housing.

Deluxe Heater

Label Placement

Look through grille for screws and key-hole spots. Loosen screws. Twist complete grille approximately 2 inches. Grille assembly will be free to drop down from ceiling. The model number is located on the inside of the can.

Kickspace Heater

Label Placement

Remove 4 screws from the top corners (2 in front & 2 in back). Remove top cover. The model number is located on the data label inside the unit. It can be found in the front right corner.

Wall Heater

Label Placement

Remove the (2) screws from top and bottom of the grille; on some units you will also need to remove the thermostat knob. Carefully remove complete power unit from rough-in box. The model label is located on the back middle of the rough-in box.

Ceiling Fan

Label Placement

The model number is located on top of fan housing.

Door Chimes

Label Placement

Most chime covers can be removed by lifting straight up or pulling away from the wall. The model number is located on the back of the cover or stamped on the chime base.

The model number is located on the right side of the cabinet.
