NuTone® has introduced a new line of bath cabinets that feature four GFCI-protected electrical outlets within the cabinet. This convenience offers a solution to homeowners without any or too few outlets in the bathroom. It also allows homeowners to charge small appliances like electric toothbrushes or razors inside the cabinet instead of taking up space on the countertop. Hartford, Wis., April 11, 2008 - New additions to the NuTone® Metro Deluxe and City Contemporary collections of bath cabinets feature four GFCI-protected electrical outlets.
According to Julie Allongue, marketing manager, bath cabinets, Broan-NuTone, Hartford, Wis., having the convenience of electrical outlets within the cabinet offers homeowners several benefits.
“Some homeowners may not have any or have too few outlets in the bathroom. Also, having outlets inside the cabinet allows homeowners to charge small appliances like electric toothbrushes or razors inside the cabinet instead of taking up space on the countertop. For new construction applications, having the outlets inside the cabinet is ideal for homeowners who would rather not have the outlets visible at all,” says Allongue.
The new bath cabinets are offered in two NuTone collections – the City Contemporary Collection and the Metro Deluxe Collection.
The NuTone City Contemporary Collection combines superior storage space, high-quality construction and decorative solid wood frames with a variety of finishes. The cabinets feature a rust-resistant, all-steel cabinet body construction, 120-degree concealed hinges that allow for wide door opening and smooth operation and a high-quality, matte black, powder-coat finish. Frames are offered in cherry, chestnut, maple and black finishes with a flat-front mirror made of premium float glass that provides a deep rich reflection.
Interior mirrors provide light and functionality while the black interior finish adds a rich and elegant look. Adjustable glass shelves provide light reflection, strength and easy cleaning. Removable snap-fit shelf supports facilitate cleaning and rubber bumpers cushion the door for a quiet close. Reversible installation allows for right- or left-hand door opening. The City Contemporary Collection cabinets are available in one size – 14 1/4 inches wide by 24 inches high by four inches deep.
The NuTone Metro Deluxe Collection meets the needs of discerning homeowners who desire quality craftsmanship, form and function at an affordable price. The frameless Metro Deluxe cabinets offer excellent aesthetics and a solid fit and finish. Exterior mirrors are made of premium float glass in both flat-front and 1/2-inch bevel
trim options. Interior mirrors on the back of the cabinet and the inside door add light, beauty and functionality, while 170-degree concealed hinges allow for very wide door opening and smooth operation.
The Metro Deluxe cabinets are available in two sizes – 14 1/4 inches wide by 24 inches high by four inches deep; and 14 1/4 inches wide by 34 inches high by four inches deep. The 24-inch model features three adjustable glass shelves, while the 34-inch model has four. Corner bumpers cushion the door for a soft, quiet close and reversible mounting allows for right- or left-hand opening. The all-steel cabinet body construction features a durable, white rust-resistant finish.
The City Contemporary Collection and Metro Deluxe Collection of bath cabinets with electrical outlets will be available summer 2008 at kitchen and bath dealers. The manufacturer’s suggested list price (MSLP) ranges from $280 to $460.
